After attending the University of Tennessee and receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Ben attended the University of Denver College of Law where he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence.

During Ben’s second and third years of law school he was a member of the University of Denver’s nationally recognized mock trial team and competed in numerous national mock trial competitions while receiving several accolades including being voted “Best Advocate” at the National Civil Trial Competition.

Upon graduation from law school, Ben decided to return to his hometown of Nashville where he was hired by the Office of the District Attorney General. Ben was assigned to the Vehicular Crimes Unit of the DA’s Office where he was one of three attorneys charged with the responsibility of prosecuting vehicular crimes committed in Davidson County, which included all DUI’s, Vehicular Assaults,and Vehicular Homicides.

Rising quickly, Ben was then assigned to Davidson County Criminal Court, Division III where he practiced in front of the Honorable Cheryl Blackburn. As a prosecutor in Criminal Court, he handled a caseload that consisted of both, misdemeanor and felony crimes that ranged from Simple Assault, Domestic Violence and Drug Possession to Aggravated Assault, Drug Sales and Felony Theft of Property.

During Ben’s two plus years as an Assistant District Attorney, he tried numerous cases including that of the theft trial against former Nashville attorney, Perry A. March. It is this experience and training that allows Ben to defend any and all types of criminal offenses.

Ben Winters is licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee and is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations.
