Zanies Club 100 Benefit

Zanies Benefit

Zanie’s Comedy Showplace celebrates
their 25th year in Nashville this year. In celebration, they have
designated one “special event night” each month. Zanie’s owner, Brian Dorfman,
approached me and offered me one of these nights to benefit the charity of my
choice. I could think of none more deserving than the 100 Club of Nashville. We will be hosting the event this coming Sunday night at Zanie’s
Comedy Showplace at 7:30PM. There is a suggested donation of $20.00 per
ticket. All proceeds on
this night will go directly to the Nashville 100 Club General
Fund.
Over the past 25 years, the 100 Club
of Nashville has distributed over $400,000 to families of fallen police officers
and firefighters to retire their debts. The 100 Club of Nashville is an all
volunteer organization and has no paid staff. These are the folks who come to the
aid police, firefighters and other law enforcement and safety folks who are
injured (or worse,) and their families, when the need arises. And unfortunately
it does.
Billy Gardell is a hilarious
comedian, who will be headlining. His Comedy Central Special debuts this
Friday. Your’s truly will be hosting, so feel free to heckle me. You may
see a few surprise guests on stage as well.
Door Prizes have been generously
donated by Sam’s Sports Bar and
Sperry’s Restaurants (Sam Sanchez
and Al Thomas) and CAO Cigars (Tim
Ozgener.)
