Blair Durham supports Senator John Edwards.

A big portion of Fred Thompson's Tennessee war chest was collected in Middle Tennessee - and much of it from business and the music industry, according to data from the Federal Election Commission.

Other candidates - from John Edwards to Rudy Guiliani - picked up support from a host of local movers and shakers. Individual contributions ranged from $500 to $2,300.

  • Thompson contributors include Lee Beaman, CEO of Beaman Toyota; Keith Herron, regional president of Regions Bank; Joe Galante, chairman of Sony BMG Nashville; country music star Ronnie Dunn; and music industry veteran Mike Curb.
  • Contributors to Barack Obama's campaign include authors Ann Patchett and Alice Randall, attorney Charles Bone, Democratic Congressman Jim Cooper and newly-elected Metro Council member Megan Barry.
  • Those giving to Hillary Clinton include Democratic leader Jane Eskind, attorney Margaret Behm and rock star Jon Bon Jovi, who's real name is John Bongiovi. His contribution was filed in Davidson County.
  • Mitt Romney contributors include Steve Fridrich, president of Fridrich & Clark Realty; Michael Blackburn, partner at Petra Capital Partners; Jeff Bradford, president and CEO of The Bradford Group; and Republican activist Ted Welch and his wife, Colleen, dean of Vanderbilt's nursing school.
  • John Edwards' contributors include record producer and former honcho of Warner Brother Records, Paul Worley; Blair Durham of the Durham & Dread law firm.
